Africa Coffee Park spent the first days of October in London, at two venues.
On 30 September the team exhibited at Grab and Go at ExCeL London. Dr. Nelson Tugume, our founder, said the coffee products and brands there “take the lead of excellence and innovation”, and that the aim remains real transformation for the farmers behind them. He thanked President Museveni and the Uganda Ministry of Foreign Affairs for their support.
On 1 October, International Coffee Day, the team joined the Uganda High Commission at Uganda House on Trafalgar Square to showcase specialty coffees from Elgon and Ntungamo. The day was about bringing farmers, investors, distributors and coffee lovers closer to the story behind every cup, and about value addition, premium markets and coffee tourism.
Nelson described it as a celebration of the African coffee farmer, and said a bigger agenda for Uganda’s coffee will be announced in London this December.
