Adopt a Coffee Tree
Name a tree, follow its harvest, receive your share of the crop.
About this destination
Adopt a Tree turns abstract "single origin" into something you can point to on a map. Each adopted tree receives a physical tag and GPS coordinates on the Africa Coffee Park estate map at Rwashameire, so you know exactly which block, and which variety, SL28 Arabica or Robusta, your adoption supports. The programme is especially popular during main harvest from roughly March through July, when cherry ripens across the highland blocks between 1,450 and 1,600 metres.
Through the season you receive photo updates at key moments: flowering, cherry set, ripening and pick day. Families, coffee clubs and corporate teams use adoptions as CSR gifts or team-building anchors, a way to invest in Ugandan agriculture without needing to farm full time.
Harvest-day invitations give adopters a chance to see picking and processing in person. You may collect your share of cherry or processed parchment according to the season's rules, or opt to have your allocation roasted and shipped after milling and quality grading.
The half-day visit to meet your tree includes a walk through the surrounding block with a guide who explains pruning, shade management and the estate's traceability spine, every kilogram tagged to zone and work package for cost and quality roll-up. It pairs naturally with the estate tour and cupping experience on the same trip.
Adoptions renew annually so the estate can plan block capacity and maintain fair allocation across participants. Book early for the main harvest season.
