About this destination

Africa Coffee Park sits on a 300-acre estate at Rwashameire in Ntungamo District, in the heart of southwestern Uganda's coffee highlands. The land rises between roughly 1,450 and 1,600 metres above sea level, an altitude range that suits both high-quality Arabica varieties such as SL28 and hardy Robusta blocks. From the moment you arrive, the scale of Inspire Africa's integrated operation becomes clear: this is not a showroom farm but a working origin that feeds export markets across East Africa, the Middle East, Asia, Europe and North America.

Guided walks follow the same path the cherries take after harvest. You will see active farm blocks where pickers select ripe cherry, then move through wet-processing lines where pulp is removed and beans begin their controlled fermentation. Raised drying beds and covered patios are where moisture is carefully reduced before parchment is stored, a stage where weather and timing determine much of a lot's final character.

The tour continues into hulling, grading and storage silos, where the team explains how traceability ties every batch back to a zone and work package on the estate map. Processing buildings and inspection points show the discipline behind export-ready green coffee, and why Uganda's reputation for specialty lots is growing internationally.

The experience ends where most visitors hope it will: at the cupping table with fresh brew from beans you have just seen in various stages of transformation. Guides connect what you taste to the blocks you walked, the elevation you felt in the breeze, and the export story that begins here in Ntungamo.

Photo stops along Lake Nyabihoko viewpoints on the estate add a highland landscape dimension to the visit. Allow two to three hours, wear closed shoes and a sun hat, and book ahead for school groups or corporate delegations.
