On the sidelines of the Vietnam mission, the team joined the Uganda delegation on a benchmarking visit to Hoang Hiep Coffee, a major Vietnamese processor with large-scale farms in Lam Dong Province.
Hoang Hiep runs an annual processing capacity of up to 650,000 tonnes of freeze-dried and spray-dried coffee — a scale that makes it a useful reference point as Africa Coffee Park expands its own instant-coffee capability.
That capability is already on the ground in Ntungamo: Africa Coffee Park is home to Uganda’s first freeze-drying coffee facility, the plant behind HARAKA Instant. Benchmarking against an operation many times its size is how we find the next constraint before we hit it.
