Our story
From a single farm to a $5 billion mission.
Inspire Africa Coffee Park was founded by Nelson Tugume on a 300-acre estate in Rwashameire, Ntungamo District, south-western Uganda. What began as a simple promise — that no Ugandan should pour a cup of imported instant — has grown into a fully integrated coffee park: from raw cherry to roasted beans, drip packs, capsules, instant coffee, energy drinks and coffee-grounds cosmetics.
Our first export shipped to Somalia in October 2025. We are now opening doors in China, Turkey, the United Kingdom and the United States. We employ over 600 Ugandans on site, and our long-term plan is six processing hubs across Uganda — so that in twenty years, no unprocessed coffee bean will leave the country.
Leadership
Meet the founder.
Nelson Tugume — the vision behind Inspire Africa Coffee Park.
Nelson Tugume is the founder of Inspire Africa Coffee Park and the driving force behind Inspire Africa Group. He set out with a simple conviction: that Uganda should process, brand and export its own coffee — not ship raw beans for others to finish.
Under his leadership the park has grown into a fully integrated estate in Rwashameire, employing over 600 Ugandans and shipping its first export to Somalia in October 2025. His mission is to grow Uganda’s coffee revenue from $1 billion to $5 billion in five years — and, within twenty, to ensure no unprocessed coffee bean leaves the country.
